In 2017 Belfius & the RBHA agreed to a partnership for the next 7 years. The goal is to develop Belgian hockey & take it to the next level.
To launch this partnership, Sportizon created a new icon: The “Heart for Hockey” icon presented by Belfius. To present this logo, a digital campaign based on the social media software “Thunderclap” was integrated. The goal was to inform every hockey player in Belgium about this partnership and the great thing about it was that they had to do it themselves.
In the 3 weeks before the opening game of the Belgian Red Lions at the World League in India, more than 2.000 people agreed to lend us their personal Facebook page on the 1st of December to post an automatic message that would change Belgian hockey once and for all. On december the 1st at 7PM we launched the new icon at once on 2.000 personal FB-pages within the hockey family.
Our message and icon had a social reach of more than 1 million people!
