Since 2013 (FCB) and 2014 (RSCA & Standard), Engie Electrabel is giving away thousands of Engie Electrabel Xmas Hats, before the Xmas game of the 3 teams.
In 2017, Engie Electrabel briefed Sportizon on 3 objectives: increase the impact of the traditional activation in the field but also on all 3 team social media platforms – increase the sympathy dimension and factor – support Engies role as social responsible actor.
Sportizon developed a full plan covering the stadium sampling with an extra dimension to communicate to a larger fan base. 15 custom made Xmas hats were designed by the players for the fans. As fan you just needed to look in your hat at the Xmas game. If the magic voucher was present, you could get your exclusive hat after the game at the Engie Electrabel House. The making of those hats was previously shared in 3 episodes on social media. Simultaneously, the fans could customize their Facebook profile picture with a specific digital Xmas hat lay-over in the look&feel of their preferred team.
